Libyan TV reports have said that every family will receive about USD 400 to help cover increased food prices, and that salaries for some public sector workers would increase by 150 percent.
Meanwhile, disturbing videos have been uploaded in YouTube, showing dead and bloody bodies of people who are reportedly soldiers, after they were executed for refusing to shoot demonstrators. Other videos show civilians preparing mass graves in Libya. As of Thursday, the 8th day of the ongoing unrest, reports say as many as 2,000 people have lost their lives.
On Friday, the EU announced it will decide within days on what sanctions it could impose on Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi."
