Libya unrest: Britons urged to flee Tripoli

Libya unrest: Britons urged to flee Tripoli: "Any Britons still in the Libyan capital Tripoli have been urged to board the final government-chartered rescue flight due to leave the country later.

Foreign Secretary William Hague said it was 'very important' to get on board as violent anti-regime protests continued.

He also said plans were being made to help UK oil workers stuck in desert areas, but could not give any details.

Meanwhile, 68 Britons were among 207 people who arrived in Malta on the navy frigate HMS Cumberland overnight.

The passengers will catch flights home while the ship returns to Benghazi, Libya's second largest city, to pick up more people, probably on Sunday. A second warship, HMS York, is also being sent."
